An alert about the condition of hiking trails 29.01.2021 |
29.01.2021. |
All hiking trails in Bieszczady National Park are open, but the conditions in mountains are very difficult . Hiking requires the appropriate clothing, equipment (we recommend using crampons or anti-slip grips). Less frequented sections of the trails (for example: Pszczeliny Widełki- Bukowe Berdo, Wetlina - Rabia Skała, Suche Rzeki - Smerek) are snowbound. The remaining sections are accessible, but locally icy or covered in fresh snow by sudden gusts of wind. The thickness of the snow cover oscillates between 20-70 cm, in the peak areas locally over 120 cm. Second (moderate) avalanche risk degree was announced. Hiking in current conditions (fresh snowfall, low temperatures, strong wind and limited visibility) requires mountain experience and winter skills.
The yellow trail from Muczne to Bukowe Berdo peak has been temporarily changed in 1 km section (map). The new route has been marked on the ground.
Please be careful and adapt the route to the current conditions and your capabilities. Current weather conditions can be checked on the Mountain Rescue Service and via a webcam
